Important Update: Oct 17, 2015
In addition to the dates listed below, this tool will also work for general scheduled reboots, as well as specific maintenance periods including "IMPORTANT NOTICE – First and Next Gen Server Vulnerability - October 17, 2015"
In the wake of recently announced vulnerabilities to the Xen hypervisor that our Cloud Servers platform is built on top of, a reboot will be necessary in some instances on both our First Generation and Next Generation Cloud Servers. The details of our announcement are available at https://community.rackspace.com/general/f/53/t/4978 and via https://status.rackspace.com/.
In order to complete the patching of our systems, we have scheduled
reboot windows on a per-region basis beginning Monday March 2 and running
through Monday March 9. To discover the time ranges during which your
affected servers will be rebooted, your
Cloud Control Panel will contain the
information for whichever region is currently visible (Note: you can change
this via the region selector on the left side of the control panel).
Alternatively, you can run our
tool to discover the reboot windows of servers across all regions at once.
Binary downloads for many platforms are available
As part of our ongoing mission to serve developers, we are proud to announce the initial public release of Gophercloud. Gophercloud is a Go OpenStack™-first SDK with Rackspace support. What that means is Rackspace and OpenStack™ users can seamlessly integrate it into their existing applications, and users of other Openstack-based clouds can extend it to work with theirs.
Of note: This release represents a major version increment and ships with an API that will break previous versions. Gophercloud 0.1.0 was an exploratory release, and we've taken this opportunity to incorporate the feedback we received and ship something that we'll be able to support and extend for a long time to come. For better robustness, consistency and reliability, though, we strongly recommend adopting a client-side dependency management system like godep.
